How to create an Application

Follow the steps below to create an application in the Cloud Drive application.

  1. Login using the credentials provided.

  2. Navigate to the Dashboard, then click on the “Cloud Drive” application.

  3. Create an Application by following these steps:

Step 1: Application Details

  • From the Application section, click the “Create” button in the left sidebar.

  • This will open the “Create application” page. You will see a multi-step process on the left side.

  • In step 1, fill in the following:

    • Application Name: Enter the application name (e.g., Test_Application).

    • Service Provider: Select the service provider (e.g., AWS).

    • Storage: Set the application storage (default is 15 GB).

  • Click “Next” to proceed.

Step 2: Bucket Details

  • Bucket Name: Select a bucket name from the dropdown menu (required).

  • The Bucket Region is automatically filled.

  • File Path: Check the “Import file” box.

    • This will display a list of available folders.

    • Select the folders you want to import into your new application.

    • Enter the Docspace Name.

  • Click “Next” to proceed.

Step 3: Permission User & Groups

In this step, set permissions for individual users and groups.

For Users:

  • Select the “User” radio button.

  • A list of users with their names and email addresses will be displayed.

  • Check the box next to the users you want to give access to.

  • For each selected user, choose a role from the dropdown (e.g., Viewer for Vignesh Shanmugam, Editor for cp m).

For Groups:

  • Select the “Groups” radio button.

  • A list of group names will be displayed.

  • Check the box next to the groups you want to give access to.

  • For each selected group, choose a role from the dropdown (e.g., Viewer for QA group, Editor for Developer group).

Step 4: Preview

  • After setting permissions, proceed to the Preview step.

  • Review all your settings before the final creation.

  • If needed, click the pencil icons next to “Application details”, “Bucket details”, or “Permission User” to edit those sections.

Final Step: Create

  • Once everything is reviewed, click to create the application.
