Tabs¶
The Credentials page has two tabs:
QuantaShare: For managing credentials related to cloud sharing features.
QuantaDrive: For managing credentials related to cloud drive features.
Ensure you’re on the correct tab before proceeding with configuration.
Setting Up Credentials¶
For each service (QuantaShare or QuantaDrive), you’ll need to configure:
Access Key: This is a unique identifier for your API access.
Secret Access Key: This is the private key paired with your access key.
Steps to Configure¶
Enter your Access Key in the provided field.
Enter your Secret Access Key in the provided field.
Click Save to apply the changes.
Important Notes¶
Keep your access key and secret access key confidential. Never share these credentials.
If you need to update the credentials, simply enter the new keys and save.
Use the Cancel button if you’ve made changes you don’t want to save.
There is no Delete option on this page. To remove credentials, you would typically clear the fields and save.
Security Best Practices¶
Regularly rotate your access keys for enhanced security.
Use different credentials for QuantaShare and QuantaDrive if possible.
Monitor the usage of these credentials through your cloud service provider’s tools.
Troubleshooting¶
If you experience issues with cloud services:
Verify that the access key and secret access key are entered correctly.
Ensure the credentials have the necessary permissions in your cloud service account.
Check if the credentials have expired and need to be renewed.
